The ELUTRON^® Underground Tank Technology

Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Secondary Containment Structure. FRP laminate structure is seamless, durable, and encapsulates the primary steel tank. The FRP laminate is Underwriters Laboratories lnc. (UL) performance tested and listed for exterior corrosion protection per UL Standard 1746.

Aluminum foil provides a minimum clearance and free-flowing 360-degree interstice.

Inner primary steel tank per UL Standard 58. The steel tank is compatible with a large number of flammable and combustible liquids. Steel is the proven, ideal, cost-effective material for long-term structural security performance.

No Buckling or Deflection

ELUTRON^® ANTI-BUCKLING VALIDATION UL Standard 58 External Pressure Test Tank submerged in 5 feet (1.53m) of water, with no backfill for support, no buckling or deflection.

A steel monitor access tube is welded liquid tight into the steel tank. ln the event of a breach to the inner or outer wall, the intruding liquid flows into the monitor access tube. Any liquid in contact with the electronic sensor probe will trigger an alarm.

Non-corroding collar (optional) provides solid attachments for piping containment sumps.

Less than 1% of the Earth’s drinking water is available to humans.

Proven installed performance worldwide. Over 35,000 Plasteel Composite^® and ELUTRON^® tanks have been installed since 1971.

Installation procedures are simple with a choice of backfill materials. High water table procedures are not complex. Anti flotation anchoring assemblies are available for concrete ballast pads and deadmen.

ELUTRON^® tanks have a limited 30-year warranty when storing flammable and combustible liquids.

Capacities available from 500-50,000 gallons (2000 L – 200,000 L). Special diameters and lengths available. Multiple compartment tanks are available.
